I'm online all the time. I play a lot of big team too. I was bummed when they took it away from ranked, but I like squad battle as well. Feel free to add me I'll be online tonight for sure.

if i go buy ODST tonight for instance could i get in this beta?

The beta will last at minimum two weeks and at maximum a month.
ANYONE that has a copy of the ODST campaign disc will be able to play the Beta. There is no limit of players allowed. There is no special invitation. ETA: And it doesn't matter when you got ODST, just as long as you have it.
The developers of Halo, Bungie, want as many people as possible to participate so that they can get as much data as possible about how the game works when a lot of people are playing. This Beta is a project for them to determine what bugs may exist in the game so that they can be fixed prior to actual launch of the game.
You can get a used copy of ODST at Gamestop or somewhere like that I'm sure.

Alright I only had time to play one game then I had class at 1:30. Now I'm back and I'll be on Reach for the next 76 hour straight or so.
The jetpack is not as advantageous as you would think. Although it is really fun. The controls are a little different, but not hard to get used to. Overall it is awesome so far.

Really? Seems like it'd be legit on the videos of game play I've seen, I always use high ground to my advantage in Halo.
I obviously haven't played it yet so you know better than me though.

It definitely has its pros and cons. All the armor abilities have their pluses and minuses. So far, jetpack is my favorite though.

How did you get this early invite? Did you just put in the campaign and it said you had it or what?
