Does GH use one of the drumpads for the hi-hat (sp?)

Also, which one uses the double bass drum? Has anyone experimented with it yet?

Yes for hihat. There is a setting for basically using RB drums. GH drums have cymbals. You can also buy cymbal expansions for RB for about $30.

Double bass only works with special equipment. A simple splitter doesn't work because you can't trigger a second hit while the first pedal is still down. Everyone using doubles either has a midi set with a real double kick pedal or an electronic mod to allow it.

Also, I have about 200 songs in my Bock Band library that I can play from one disc. Being able to import/export songs from one version to another is awesome, and being to able to play downloaded songs in any version is seriously awesome too. You can't do that in Guitar Hero...I've downloaded songs for World Tour that you can only play in World Tour. Really annoying having to play 3 different Guitar Heros to hit all of your favorite songs.

Both are addictive... I'd say either but stay away from beatles rockband the songs are repetative, you play the same sequence of notes over and over.

I recommend Rockband because I find that one easier to play than GH. GH seems to go overboard in making a song hard. Rockband also has a better song library with the available DLC content. I don't think I have ever purchased a GH song but I have purchased multiple RB songs.

GH lets you import songs in GH 5...but its limited to some songs from GH:WT and band hero.

rock band libary>>GH's.

most of Guitar hero 2/Guitar hero 3's songs are DLC for Rock band.
