Yeah, Harmonix went on to do Rock Band and the rest after getting their feet wet with Frequency and Amplitude on the PS2.

Cool. That's the last Playstation I own. Great library for that system. I'm betting my local used games store has a copy.

That, or should be pretty easy to grab a copy on eBay. Frequency came first, and Amplitude was the sequel.
That was truly the greatest console generation. It was the only time when I owned all 3 major systems.
SSX Tricky, Amplitude, Ratchet & Clank (especially Going Commando & Up Your Arsenal) & Star Wars Battlefront 2were favorites.
Mercenaries, Crimson Skies & Conker's Bad Fur Day were my go-to titles on the OG XBox.
Animal Crossing, the Zelda pack-in for the Silver Gamecube & Eternal Darkness were the GCN ones that I played the most.
That was truly the greatest console generation. It was the only time when I owned all 3 major systems.

Would be difficult to disagree with this statement. I didn't have an original XBox, but I loved my GameCube and PS2. Played the mess out of those.

Mercenaries (on both PS2 and XBox, to be fair) was the greatest open world game I can remember - and that ran concurrently with GTA: San Andreas & Vice City.

I 100% completed Vice City. A lot of the San Andreas stuff felt tedious to me even though the gameplay was better overall. I went around and gained control of every gang territory, and then the betrayal happened and all my territory was lost instantly. At that point, I stopped trying to do the side quests and just powered to the end. Didn't have it in me to claim all that land again.
Haven't played Mercenaries. Will have to see about that one too.
