Buy the seeker shot and passive super asap. Passive super makes the airplane levels easier.
Medium dmg skill not so good, close dmg skill is great in the right situations.

I got to the second isle last night and holy hell those bosses are ridiculous. The floral boss on isle 1 took me almost two hours. Definitely gonna look in to better weapons.

I’m sure he will. I usually just restart if I die early. I feel like you need 3 HP going in to the final bosses, otherwise it’s useless

I recommend doing Von Bonn Bonn and the Clown on easy first and get your 10 coins and buy some upgrades.
I'm at 295 wipes. I just go to the third island but I caved and did the Dragon on easy. Actually beat it the first try.
ETA: First try on easy after about 50 wipes on normal.

Get the auto-lock on weapon for when you are hopping around and avoiding attacks. Then switch back to whatever is your favorite weapon. Also you need to have that quick dash power that lets you vanish for a mid second. I never did any other upgrades but now I'm interested in what other ones they had.

Yeah I’ve used the auto one for a few different fights already, like the candy land fight, and the roller coaster guy on Isle 2. It’s super helpful.

How does Cuphead deal with the hitboxes?

They're pretty big, but they also give you a little wiggle room if you get to close to an enemy or an obstacle.
