Also is there a mod for more ambitions? Seems there are only a few and quite limited. Seems like a feature that's underutilized.

I may start over with another Irish guy or go Norse. The first part was most fun.

My next game is going to be a Norse pagan, for sure. I want to experience raiding and such. I agree those early fights with a really narrow focus were enjoyable, as was the relatively personal intrigue.

Once you get above Duke, it seems like a whole web of poiltics that becomes a lot less personal - much more of a business decision and such. Maybe that's the nature of the Irish experience - it is kind of insulated and detached, making it good for learning the mechanics. I can see a time where I jump into Spain (constant warfare) or Poland and see what that's like - maybe even start as a vassal (after my Viking raider game, of course) in England after the conquest or France and see how that goes - see how fundamentally different it is from playing as an independent in Ireland.

I haven't modded yet, but I intend to play GoT if nothing else. I would be interested in more ambition choices - especially if you have a relatively boring, middling stat guy, or even someone with great stats across the board - advanced ambition options would make more of a game of that part of it.

There's a 75% sale for small dlc so the Norse portraits, music, coat of arms and shite like that is .49 each. So I'm gonna get that stuff. I know there's a mod expanding pagan options. I was looking at two others CK plus and a Castle mod that gives you a bunch of choices to personalize your dwelling
