Contemplating getting one of those gamepad type things...

like the Logitech G13. Will be using it for SWTOR. Has anyone used one for an MMO in the past? Does it make a difference over a traditional keyboard? Learning curve decent?

I can't do it. Not enough keys for me, and the learning curve was steeper than I expected

Just get a regular mechanical keyboard and learn to use modifers(at/ctrl+num/letter).

I used a belkin speedpad when I played WoW. 2 or 3 instances and I was good to go.
Ergonomics are so much better than a traditional keyboard.
