Day 1 I was playing in very tough lobbies. I was a diamond in ranked last season without much grinding. My lifetime k/d is 3.1. So I’m decent. And it felt very sweaty. Especially when compared to the last day of season 2.
I was starting to wonder if matchmaking was adjusted myself. But day 2 was not nearly as bad. Won probably 6-7 games yesterday. Maybe just luck of the draw. I’m sure lots of new/returning players are here to check the map out.

I like it, I just hate how almost every game where I'm not the jumpmaster, we land in the fricking Tilted Towers of Apex.

It's the place near the center with all the tall buildings. I think it's called Capitol City on the map.

It’s pretty open from what I’ve gathered in a few rounds.
However I have done quite well; including my best round ever with 1600 damage and 9 kills. So it’s safe to say I like it

I do have a gripe.
Charge rifle. This gun is a joke.
There is no reason for a hitscan sniper to be in this game. I know it has it's charge gimick but that is hardly an issue if you can track at all or if somebody is sniping back at you.

Anytime I hear one I don't even attempt to return fire. Just get cover and hope they close the ground.
Also doesn't help that the damn beam blocks your view if they are on target.

There are some sick new skins in this event but the lifeline heirloom isn’t nearly as cool as the wraith knife and bloodhound hatchet so I might not buy it this time
