Anyone here have a Quest 2?

I’m starting to see more games pop up that are peaking my interest. Star Wars, Medal of Honor, Jurassic park, Climb 2.
I know they have better VR sets, but this would be an entry set for me. I don’t have a PC, so a stand alone VR is what I would need.
Who has it? Do you like it?

It wouldn't be able to do what you want without a PC.
It is a standalone unit but doesn't have the power to play big games.
I don't have the 2 so I don't know if they kicked it up a notch but I still doubt it will have the power for AAA VR games.
Someone else can chime in but the Quest really isn't a full blown standalone VR system. It just allows you to try out some of the games with lower requirements and various VR experiences. The allure of the Quest is that it does have the ability to do some stuff on its own and then when you need more power, one plug into your PC and you have all the power for the bigger titles.

I wouldn’t put the Q2 down that much. It has the ability to use WiFi 6 and be a wireless PC headset and it’s screens are pretty damn good for it too. The downfall of the quest 2 is by far comfort. It just plain sucks and the better strap isn’t much better. Like all of the Oculus sets before it, the mic and audio suck.
Overall it’s a great entry level headset to get your feet wet and see if you want a 2k+ PC and a 1k+ headset. Lol
The standalone games vs playing the pc versions when in WiFi 6 mode show why standalone has a long way to go. They just plain suck graphically.

Lol.
I was just trying to find out if it’s worth getting it for an entry level vr set. I played the climbing game once in the mall and it was awesome.
