Without going thru the router, opening ports, etc?

Secondary question: my Bluetooth jawbone will not work with my playstation. It pairs, registers, and shows that it's connected....but it won't work

For your first question, you will have to login to your router to change something at the very least if that is what is blocking you from getting on PSN. You can only disable the router firewall/ open ports by going through the router as far as I know.

For your second question, you have to go to accessory settings in the settings tab then go to audio device settings. Make sure you select your jawbone as the input and output device. You can test it there as well.

It isn't that hard, just google how to open ports on the type of router you have, the find ports for PS3/PS3 Games

I know which port numbers they are.....problem is I don't have access to the router. My internet is included with my rent, so I get it through my complex...I just don't have access to the router and cannot change any of its settings. That's why I'm wondering if I can login without messing with the router....

So have you tried logging in? I wouldn't see a reason why you couldn't unless you have already logged in and know you can't.

do you know what kind of router it is?

and if you don't then type 192.168.0.1, I believe that that's the number for the most common routers (linksys, netgear) and then try admin for username and password for password. The most common mistake people make is that's they secure their wifi with a security password but not the router username and password.
