To honor your start, 2PD for Taylor Tuesday.
I think you may be in Houston. Let me know how to link up and let’s share some samples.

I am in Dallas, but get down to Houston relatively often. Next time I go down I’ll make a post in here.

What are your thoughts on WFP?
I was able to get a bottle at retail at the downtown Spec’s here in Houston. Thought I needed to buy another off the secondary only to flip it for a W12, OWA, and Blanton’s. So, in short, I’d prefer 1792 FP.

To be clear, Weller Antique is my fav.
The WFP is very good. It has no bite, imo, compared to the antique. It’s very flavorful and it tastes like there should be something harsh at the end and it never comes. The only thing comparable I’ve tried is EC18.

Comparable to EC18 because you’re expecting there to be more? I just bought a bottle and a buddy of mine had a similar comment.

I prefer antique over 12 .. this bottle was a choice between that as 12 and I got OWA

Comparable to the smoothness. I should have said that lol. No harsh hits at all.
EC18 is a well lower proof which makes the way this full proof tastes that much ether since we are at 114.

Agreed. 12 is very good, but I love how an antique finishes after a sip.
I very rarely come across antique’s for retail. I’ve had much better luck with 12’s.

And FG
This is slightly lower proof and less heat makes this very flavorful ..Really good release.
Either way, I don’t use ice. Sometimes a drop or two of water.
Unless we doin an old fashioned.
