Either Wayne's in Livingston or Couyon's in Port Allen.

Is the Couyans on Burbank and Gardere in the Shell station still open?
I'm pretty sure that one was closed a long time ago. Couyon's is right off the interstate in Port Allen on the North side of the interstate. The brisket is to die for.

We go there for lunch pretty often and they cater to the plant some, it's just a bit far to trek on the weekends

My last meal there was March 2013. They had started going downhill a couple years before that with uneven quality, availability, etc. But when it was good, it was very good. I think what did them in was opening the big, new restaurant on Nicholson near LSU. That thing didn't last long, and the hole in the wall on Burbank suffered.
Do the same people own the one in Port Allen?

Good bbq chicken too. Only problem with Jakes is that they're only open for lunch on weekdays I believe.
Yea...think 11-2:30pm M-F. He makes such a killing, that's all he needs!
