Using lump wood chunks in a Kamado Joe........

Is there any advantages to using this to smoke with rather than the tiny chips in a bag? I was thinking about buying a bag of the big chunks and breaking them down to manageable size pieces.

Yes. If you are worried about having too little initial smoke, throw some small chips on with the chunks.
