Anyone ever made a taramasalata at home? It is one of our favorite appetizers to get at Zorbas. Very similar in texture to a hummus but the flavor is so much better. I’ve read that it is made using some kind of roe and usually bread as a thickener. I was hoping someone has made it and has a recipe to share that they love. Also, where do you even get the roe? What particular brand or kind? I’m in the Baton Rouge area if anyone from here can be super specific.

It is NOT pink like in the picture on the wiki. At least not at Zorbas. It looks just like hummus.

You can get this from IKEA, it's a pretty close substitute.
