So I ate some at a Mexican place, I asked and was told soy sauce and sliced Jalapenos. No way that it is that easy.
I have searched the web and found many variations.
Any one do this?
From what I see Soy sauce, vinegar and some sugar bring to boil and cover? Is it that easy?

Just sounds like pickling the fresh jalapenos with soy sauce, so yes, it should be that easy. Heat up the soy, vinegar, and sugar until dissolved. Pour the hot liquid over a jar of fresh sliced jalapenos. Put the top on and let it sit in the fridge for a few days.

They are called chile toreados…pretty easy to make.
I’ve always seen them as whole jalapeños that have been blistered then allowed to soak in soy and lime juice for a couple hours.

Those are awesome and I never knew it was soy sauce. A side plate of 3 of those with some grilled onions is a fantastic addition to the table
