The butt is 1.31 a pound, while the picnic is 0.90 per pound.

The picnic looks cooler, as a finished product, if you wrap the cap.

For pulling the butt is best and more tender. The picnic is the ham plus shoulder. The ham will not be shredded but good for slicing.
