You remember those cowboy ribeyes I told you about at Rouses a while back? Well I went in there tonight and they had some thicker prime cut for $9.99/lb. They aren't in the butcher block though. They are in the pre- wrapped section. Just thought you might want to know.

I bought a prime t-bone $12 and 2 Prime filets $10. I cooked the T-bone last night. Man it was good. Like butter.

Damnnnn I'm extremely jealous. Although I didnt exactly go to bed hungry last night.. we had ribeyes, 2 racks of spare ribs, and 4 types of sausage from heleauxs.

I will be getting a Primo XL next month, so a lot of grilling will be done.
I used to love Heleauxs for everything especially their boudin. However, the last time I went in there I was treated rudely and have not nor will I step foot in that place again.

Really?? I find that they're always very friendly when I go in. What'd thay do?

I was coming north on verot and wanted a link of boudin. So, I go in and there are 2 guys in the meat dept. making meatballs. I asked for a link of boudin. Well, the guy in charge takes of his gloves and starts packaging the boudin. While doing the other guy makes some comment like, "well thats hardly worth it" and gives me a stare down. I take my boudin and tell the guy thank you to which there is no response. At this point I am thinking WTF is going on. As I am walking down the aisle towards the front I turn around and they are both staring me down and the mop boy has come over to join the stare down. It was really weird. So, anyway that was enough for me.

No biggie, now I go to chops and Nunu's.
Posted on 12/30/11 at 3:21 pm to Janky
I love chops. Their seasoning is my current favorite.

Roger that. Is this thread anchored? I am pretty new to how this site works, but it does not refresh to the top like the others anymore.
Posted on 12/30/11 at 3:34 pm to Janky
Yeah anchored BC of thread title.
Posted on 12/30/11 at 3:37 pm to Uncle JackD
Lets see if this will fix it. Is there a reason why I couldn't have your name as the thread title?
Posted on 12/30/11 at 3:49 pm to Janky
Admins doesn't like user names in thread titles. The title should describe the info within the thread. Just fyi for next time around.

Thanks. Have a good one.
