Riveting read on Don's, Landry family, Tilman Fertitta, Denis Wilson,etc..

I was Googling Denis Wilson to see what became of him, as I used to enjoy his Denis Seafood (Houston) in the 1990s. I came across this 1994 article that details the sordid story of the Texas faction of Lafayette Landry's and the original Houston Don's, and how Tilman Fertitta came to own it..a long but great read..

Is that the same Fertitta outta Shreveport? If so me and his daughter were going to high school together then. Fertitta's 5401 was a great place, reopened now to ________ (drawing a blank), never been but heard good things.

A few years back I spoke with one of the Louisiana based Landrys (Dons owners)He did not speak to kindly of the other side of the family ( Landry's Joe's crab shack)He seemed to not want to talk about it much when I inquired.

The Vegas Fertittas(Frank 3rd and Lorenzo of Stations Casinos & Zuffa/UFC fame) dad was Frank Fertitta Jr, from Beaumont, whom like Steve Wynn rose from Bellboy to Owner in skyrocketing time-frame(don't ask no questions!!)..
Tilman is from Galveston, he's related to Sam and Rose Maceo, whom dealt with and answered to Carlos Marcello's/New Orleans, Sam was the main mob boss of the 'Free State of Galveston' in the early to mid 1900s, making millions annually via gambling, bootlegging, and prostitution.
All of the family has it's roots traced to Leeville-La upon initial immigration, before moving further westward.
