Rejuvenating Walnut handled knives

I have 2 sets of 25 year old Chicaco Cutlery knives that have been totally abused by regular automatic dishwasher cleaning, but still have great steel and the wooden handles handles have dried out and discolored handles due to the dishwater abuse. Is there any way to soak the walnut wood handles to rejuvenate them such as soaking in tung, boiled linseed oil, etc?

Why oh why do people do this. Broke my spouse of that shite right quick.
You can TRY repetetive applications of beeswax. But I do mean repetetive. Let it soak in and go again next day or so. Mineral oil has been recommended also.
