I have heard that Gatusso's in Gretna has a good one as well.
It can definitely compete - very similar to Cafe Navarre, mentioned above.

I ate at Mahoney's last week and had the RB pb and fries. It was very good. We ordered 1 large RB and 1 small RB, a large fry, 2 barqs and 1 diet coke. The large pb is too much for 1 person. The total cost was $37.00. I am guessing it would have been closer to $30.00 if we would have ordered appropriately. I took home the other half and ate for lunch the next day.

My opinion is that it was an excellent poboy and worth the money. It is 10 to 15% more than others.

Their roast beef is bland to me

but they seriously need to season it a bit more.

Even adding Swiss & Crystal to it... Somehow it's still bland. Even though I still go to Parkway from time to time... I don't understand how they get away with it being so bland.
