Old news for BR people but for us out of towners, can someone tell me what happened? Health violations? License renewal? Anyone?

I've got to think they overextended with the super expansion and the much higher than normal buffet price killed them.
People that hit lots of buffets tend to have tight pockets too and the Chinese buffet is about $3.00 bucks cheaper. Not much I know but I can't figure out why it failed while 200 chinese buffets survive.
I only went once. I didn't hate it but also felt it wasn't great.
All I can think of is the debt load they took on to expand crushed them and the novelty of a mexican buffet faded after six months.
I know most here hated the food to start with, but I wonder if at some point they went from subpar food to cellar dwellar subterranean levels of cheapness.
In summary, I have no clue. I don't get how you can go from long waits and packed for months to tumbleweeds.

Appreciate it. I know when I went by there yesterday, the door was locked with several pad locks and a sign read "This location is permently closed down". Ironically, we went to Panda on Airline.

If you want a good Mexican buffet, go to El Magey on Seigen just over the overpass and to the right, next to the Safety Council. Panchos suffered from memories being better than the reality IMO...

Because they were serving dog food is reason enough.
