NOLA - Funeral & Short Stay

I left LA in 2014 and only returned briefly for another funeral in 2017. My fiance' and I are flying in to MSY tomorrow night at about 10pm and will be at a hotel behind the cathedral. He has never been to NOLA.

Nothing overly fancy, I am attending a funeral in BR for my Grandmother on Friday and we are packing light.
Just some good LA food with good atmosphere. Glad to hear the mask mandate has been dropped in public. Guess we will get our negative tests tomorrow, since it still seems you must show -test or vax.
Likely my last time in LA, with the last relative passing, but excited to show him the Quarter, Tiger Stadium, Mike, the Chimes, the house I grew up in, etc.
