I’d rather CJ chime in but he is going through some tough medical times.

Yeah I get that but I can be pretty hard headed at times. And my training as a molecular biologist with degrees in biochemistry and microbiology cause me to feel invincible at times about such things.

t00f is referring to my currently undergoing treatment for brain cancer. I had my 3rd brain surgery in May followed by a month of radiation. I have been undergoing chemotherapy since then.

So I really should not take chances with such things with a compromised immune system while on chemotherapy. Yet I'm pretty hard-headed at times.

Fighting hard to stay alive, going thru the misery of chemo. And you’re gonna risk a compromised immune system on freakin’ old meat? That’s not a hard head, that’s plain stupidity. If you’ve ever had C. difficile, you know it can literally kill you, as can E. coli.

Throw that crap away. Stop being foolish. Extra foolish if you have the microbiology training to know that not all pathogens are rendered inert by cooking/heat.

If this is your subconscious attempting to tell you that you’re tired of treatment & only want palliative care, don’t let it kill you with dodgy deer meat. Have a real convo with your spouse, your pastor, your oncologist, your guru.....peace be upon you in 2019, may the New Year bring you fresh meat and improved health.

I wet age my backstrap in vacuum sealed bags for 3 weeks in the fridge. Then cook medium rare. Personally I would eat it.

Sorry to hear that Sir, I hope and pray you get better! With the RA medicine I’m taking , I won’t risk eating the deer meat. Good luck
