I was in Summer Camp in New Orleans at Sam Barth’s in the 1950s, about 10 to 12 years old. Every day for dessert we had Hubig’s pies,
choice of apple, cherry, pineapple, coconut, either fried or baked pies. They were all ten cents each and the highlight of dinner time.
