McDonalds at the corner of St. Charles and Louisiana

Wife ( no pics ) and I were coming home and started talking about this location.
I think I remember a story about it being one of the few or only one of its kind. It doesn't have the regular golden arches and typical McDonald's color palette. The McDonalds arches are actually black at this location.
Does anyone know the story behind this location?

It’s 2 story as well. I used to sit upstairs because who goes to a 2 story McDonald’s and doesn’t sit upstairs right?
