re: Is there ever a time or place for instant mashed potatoes?

I make that stuff at home from time to time. You don't always have to be the Iron chef to feed the family. I use half milk, half water for what ever the directions say and add some other stuff. Garlic, white pepper and sour cream is my standard in some kind of potatoes. I'm not big on black pepper except salads.
