The people with the lesser wristbands (after 4000) were allotted two bottles of Huna, not one. My uncle's friend showed up ~3pm and got a 2 bottle band.

This seems right, we left around 2pm and they were still issuing the gold colored bands and 3 bottles.

They had plenty of bottles left over, so if you got there at 6pm you could buy a case of Huna with no wait if you wanted to.

One of my employees showed up at 7pm and got a case and was out the door by 730...

so the 8oz pours ended up being 5-6oz of beer with way too much head. The 12oz pours ended up around 8oz.

The group I was with never got a 12oz cup much less a 12oz pour. Just about everything ended up around 5-6 ounces. Perhaps we just had an inept person on the tap that didnt understand that some beers came in a larger cup.

We were set up next to the token booth(which closed at 1030) right between the CCB and the JJ Trailers. We couldnt have been too far from you.

I stopped by the brewery yesterday and they estimated 8,000-10,000 showed up.

Wife had an accident Sat. a.m. so I wasn't able to go. i was told the Home Depot at Spruce and Dale Mabry was towing people. Friend said they would wait for somone to park and walk away with a lawn chair or not go into the HD then bye bye vehicle. He got there about 2:00p.m. stayed an hour or so and left because it took him that long for his first. So from all I heard and read I'm not disappointed I didn't make it this year. I enjoy a good beer while relaxing. Nothing about this year's opening sounded relaxing.

We initially parked at the rear of the HD lot nearest Total Wine and heard a rumor swirling at CCB about tow trucks. My wife moved our vehicle around 0930 to the Nordstrom parking lot and indicated that she did see one or more tow trucks in the HD lot.

I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it was my third year going to CCB for Huna Day, and it has personal significance for me because it's the one weekend a year I get to hang out with my uncle. I love driving down and supporting a great brewery. Bringing back a stupid amount of beer doesn't hurt, either.

Also, I got to drink several beers that you jus never see:

- CCB Habanero Mango IPA
- CCB Double Dry Hopped DIPA
- CCB Cordial Cherry Congac Barrel Aged Imperial Sweet Stout
- Funky Buddah Last Snow Porter
- CCB Brengle's DIPA
- and, of course, Hunahpu's Imperial Stout

Hell, over the past three years I've had all sorts of awesome beers at Huna Day - various barrel aged Zhukov and Hunahpu treatments, several of J. Wakefield's Berliners, and a bunch of others.

On the other hand, the event has grown to a point where it can't carry on in it's current state, and it should not have been handled the way it was this year. The brewery actually saw smaller crowds than expected, and it was still a giant clusterfornication. I really hope CCB gets this event under control, because I want to be part of it every year, God willing.

Glad they upped production.

Would love to walk out with a case of this stuff for drinking and a few for trading power.

Hope they did a new venue but at te same time that would mean more people and less of a chance at scoring a case. You'd prob have to go back to getting in line at 6am (which doesn't bother me if there are some decent bottle shares already going on)

I've seen some picks of some epic tastings of beer people brought.
