What was the name of the restaurant? Don't want to eat there
Dinner should have been free imo.
ETA: Read the thread and you ate at Don't Hut on Johnston. Just had lunch there today by the way. Their 1/2 and 1/2 is usually on the money. Will be careful what I order there in the future. I live about a mile away from there.

That would not have bothered me at all, and I would have never even mentioned it to the staff.

My response: No, thanks. You can take this plate of etouffee back though. I think I'm finished.

Don't like hair in my food. Any kind
I bring a lot of out of state friends to Don's Hut on Johnston. May need to rethink that...That is one of their first impressions of Lafayettte.
ETA: I've eaten there twice in the last week and am one of their better customers

Call the restaurant and ask to speak to the owner. Tell him what happened and how it was handled and what you expected. I know for a fact the owner did not want you leaving unhappy and posting on a message board. And if for no other reason, maybe they will get it right for the next customer.

I admire your patience. I would have likely fired back with a kind suggestion that she find someone in the building more capable than her of making big boy decisions on behalf of her fine establishment. After that, I would have been extremely friendly to her and hope that she learned the proper way to handle that scenario.
Still light years ahead of the DT location and your thread may have just inspired my dinner tonight.
