Has anyone used Coco Rico as a marinade or braising liquid?

Started researching some Vietnamese recipes and I've found that this beverage can be used as a braising liquid for pork belly and can also be used as a marinade for a variety of meats

It's a Puerto Rican coconut soda that I've never tried. Apparently it's good at tenderizing meats (although, whenever I hear this I tend to think you don't want to marinade something too long as to not break it down too much)

If anyone has any experience using this please let me know

Yes we use this to primarily braise("kho") pork or fish in caramelized dishes. It helps tenderize the meat, gives it color, and gives the meat an added sweetness. It is not necessary though. My wife uses it but I don't.

My vietnamese friend uses it in his viet-cajun boiled crawfish.

Just dumps it into the boiling water or uses as part of the sauce?

It’s used with some butter to sauté onions, lemongrass, and garlic. I guess for the sauce?
