That would be a no, GW Fins is not a chain. They did have a second location in North Carolina but it was closed as a result of the economic downturn that hit that area particularly hard.

I have been to both Fins and August many times and they are both great restaurants for what they are. Really can't go wrong at either place.

I do believe they still have a couple of other locations, one in Houston.

fins is a very good restaurant. but, if you regularly visit the gulf coast, destin, the 30-a area, you have the same, very fine seafood, at a dozen different venues.

august is fabulous new orleans.

There's absolutely not a GW Fins restaurant in Houston. There's a Black Fin (sushi) and a Reef (which is awesome), maybe that's what you're thinking of.
