Hopefully, you will be there long enough to eat at more than one restaurant.

The best oysters rock in the FQ in my opinion are at Galatoire's. Delicious. No red beans or chargrilled served there.

Second, you could go to Remoulade which is the casual side of Arnaud's. She can order red beans and Oysters Arnaud. Oysters Arnaud features 5 oysters with 5 different toppings, including one oyster rock, all delicious. No chargrilled.

You can go to Arnaud's itself and get oysters Arnaud or all oysters rock. No chargrilled or red beans in the main restaurant.

You can get chargrilled at Acme with her red beans or go just outside the FQ to Drago's for chargrilled-touted as the best in town. I believe Drago's also serves red beans. Have no idea of the quality.

I've heard that the chargrilled oysters at Royal House in the FG are very good , though I haven't had them. They list oysters rock, but I have a feeling they aren't the "true" version. I'd stick with Galatoire's for the best in that area. No red beans at Royal House.

Bourbon House has "charbroiled" oysters. I've had them and they weren't very good. I don't recommend going there. No red beans or oysters rock.

Other folks may have some other suggestions, but I'd go to Galatoire's for the oysters rock. The menu is large and there are plenty of other delicious items a Texas girl would enjoy. Stop in Drago's for chargrilled only. There may be a line depending on when you go, so be prepared. Skip the red beans. Teach her how to make those at home.
