Wanted to share my experience with you baws, was impressed with this place. The vibes were really nice, and the prices were great. We had 3 cocktails, appetizer, two entrees and desert and the bill was 89 bucks before tip. Not bad at all.
Mixed drinks were well thought out and delicious, and they had a nice selection of wine / local beers.
Appetizer: Fried Catfish with a home made remoulade sauce that was fantastic. Catfish came to the table straight out of the fryer. (it was still hissing and too hot to touch).
Good crispy crust, without being too thick.
Meal:
Wife got the burger (which is a specialty patty with beef/pork sausage) - Was a decent burger and their fries were excellent. I wasn't blown away by the burger, but the fries were epic and crunchy.
I got the special that night which was Blackened Wahoo with Grilled Shrimp. The fish was fantastic and the shrimp were cooked perfect. It was served with a jalapeno/orange burre blanc sauce and a side of mashed red potatoes (buttery and delicious).
Desert: Split the banana pudding, which was made from a homemade custard that they explained was hand stirred. It was tasty. Thicker than your normal pudding and had a richer flavor.
Service was pretty good, aside from over-hearing a few of the other waiters who were fricking obnoxiously explaining shite / over-selling the menu. Pet Peeve of mine.
Overall I would visit again, was impressed by how fresh the food was.

Went about a month ago and was also very impressed.
The cochon chips were delicious, and huge... could easily be split among 3-4 people without anyone feeling left out.
I had the shrimp and grits, which were excellent, and reasonably priced at $15. They took the tails off of the shrimp too... a nice touch, in my opinion.
The only complaint was the cocktails took forever, but in their defense we went in with a big party on a Monday night, and two other big (8 or so people) parties came in right around the same time, so the girl bartending was also waiting on our table, and trying to make drinks for all the big groups.

Love that place. The Cajun Meatballs are phenomenal and the chicken sausage gumbo is some of the best I have ever had (very nice dark roux). It really is a hidden gem.
