Crawfish idea

Neighbor is getting some crawfish for tomorrow. Has to pick up today.
The easy was is to just put them on ice with a towel and leave the lid open.
But remembering the LSU Ag article and how a tank was the best way to clean them out.
Could I just put them in an ice chest with water and a live well aerator? You think that would keep them alive and clean them out?

Go with the ice and towel and tilt a little with drain open . Rinse the heck out of them in the ice chest before boiling
