I love that this place exists exactly as it does.

Up until maybe the mid 80s or so, there were at least 2 dozen or more seafood joints throughout the state of Louisiana that were exactly like this. Every decent sized town had at least one. Several bigger towns had a few. And there were scattered roadside places just like it here and there (i.e., Hymels and Middendorfs - which sort of clings to what it was, but has likely been too gentrified to still say it IS what it was). This may be the last one that still exists in the same manner to this day, virtually unchanged at all.

Yeah that picture could have been take in 1962 or 2022.

Only thing different today is I don't think they have the jar of boiled eggs on the bar by the cash register.
