Charlotte Weekend Trip?

Looking to take a weekend trip (Thursday/Friday to Sunday) before the summer is up and CFB is here. My wife and I are 32 and 31, so we enjoy using these quick trips as a time to try new restaurants, go to bars/breweries, etc. Kicked around the idea of Charlotte, as I've heard good things and never been. For the duration and what we like, do you think it's a good option?

Lots of places here. You can take the light rail.

Check out Fonta Flora brewing. Their main brewery is closer to Asheville. They have some unique beers.

Was there for 2 weeks for work last summer. Check out this place, they had like 500 beer taps between local and international. Food was ok LINK
