Any of you baws headed to the Chafunkta Brewery anniversary function this Saturday in Mandeville? Their last anniversary was cool in their old place and they have so much more room now.

But no... not going to be able to make it. I do want to go check out their new place soon though.

This thread went no where.

I really like the Old 504. One of my favorites. Their website doesn’t have much on it, is it a ticketed or open event? Food trucks? New beers on tap?

Very clever but it's not mine. Been to the new one several times and was hoping to get some new craft beer drinkers to join in Saturday.

Wish I could be there. Good people at that brewery.

What's Chafunkta selling besides Old 504 these days?

Thanks for the heads up.

I like the Old 504, but haven’t been a fan of the Kingfish Ale or Voo Ka Ray. Stopped by today to watch the LSU game and tried a few brews. Some observations:

The spot is great. Lots of room and friendly folks.
TVs could be bigger.
Old 504 was good as always.
The PJ’s Old 504 and Dirty 130 were really good.
The Lemmings was okay, didn’t care for it that much, but I don’t love an overly hoppy IPA.
The Blood Orange Blaze was surprisingly good. Got a crowler to go.
The WTF double New England IPA was good, but the name (Where’s The Flag) was better.

Overall, was a good trip to the north shore and a fun place to hang.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Suntiger glad you came up. I was just one of the volunteers. They usually play the game on a projection tv on that big wall behind where the bands were set up. Hope you come up again. Thx.
