What is the water to live crawfish ratio? If I am cooking a 37 Lbs. sack of crawfish...How much water should I use in QUARTS?

If I do a 40 LBS sack...and I cook it in my 80 QT Pot...How much water should I put?

PS- I know to put the crawfish in the basket...fill up enough water to cover the crawfish and fill it up to there. I am just wondering if there is a ratio?

Yeah...but what if you have a 120 quart pot and only 20 LBS of Crawfish...How much water would you use?

we do 1 sack and extras in a 100qt pot and do a little more than halfway

35-40lbs plus all the extras in 50qts of water so maybe 1qt per pound. wont hurt to use more but will just take longer to boil and you will have to use more seasoning

OK...Thanks!

One Quart per LBS. seems like the right ratio.

I am trying to standardize my recipe...I want to have 10 LBS. taste the same as 1000 LBS. I think that ratio seems like a good start
