Read Ian McNulty's article on it, some of the partners with Bayou have purchased Oak and Ale and are more effectively combining them.
Sounds like they are making them more like Bayou, more combining of the two where you can order from either on same tab, combined entrance way, new food program, wines on tap and extended bottle list.
They are also taking the parking lot in back (I did not know this existed) and adding outdoor seating, sunsails etc (like they have done recently with Bayou) and adding a "game room" to the Ale side.

ah that's why oak was serving wine in bayou wine garden glasses when I went the other day.
hope they don't change the food too much, I love the gumbo fries, collard green fries, and the wings.
I also had no idea about the parking in the back, but I just walk there anyways
