My family lived overseas for a while and my parents have several bottles that were given to them as gifts.
Its pretty interesting stuff. I'm not a huge fan of apple flavored anything, but calvados has a nice smoky, woody flavor that reminds me enough of bourbon for it to be enjoyable.

It's great with coffee and if you heat the glass a little the apple smell is beautiful...
