I've been eyeing the ice cream makers with compressors for years. Used to have the kind with the frozen base which worked great.
Seems like it would be nice to have more capacity and be able to make multiple batches in a single day.
Just pulled the trigger on this one. Any tips from folks who have this one or similar?

I have a Cuisinart one that is very similar. Looked at both hard as well as the Musso-Lussino model with the non-removable freeze chamber.
The thing is great. Makes unbelievable ice cream (I'm assuming this one performs comparably to the one I have). I mostly make gelato recipes - check out the serious eats fior di latte and stracciatella recipes - outta this world and simple, especially with using top notch ingredients. Tons of great gelato and ice cream recipes for free online, and some great books a well (Ciao Bella's book is highly recommended).
Be careful not to overfill the freezing chamber or you will have a mess. I typically freeze smaller batches since the turnaround time is so quick to be able to freeze another batch.

Will do. I think I'm going to make a basic French Custard Vanilla tomorrow to get a feel for the machine.
Appreciate the tips!
