Yup - but this was after an overnight soak. He said the initial boil gets out some impurities - the water after an hour is grayish-brown.
He could be full of it - but mines always come out good.

There are more damn theories about soaking beans, not soaking beans ,flatuance, etc. than Carter has liver pills. And "Thanks"...it's good to be able to post for a while...
