Yup - but this was after an overnight soak. He said the initial boil gets out some impurities - the water after an hour is grayish-brown.

He could be full of it - but mines always come out good.

There are more damn theories about soaking beans, not soaking beans ,flatuance, etc. than Carter has liver pills.
