re: 1st time Smoking a Brisket this Saturday

I use a rub posted on amazingribs.com.
3 tablespoon coarsely ground black pepper
2 tablespoons table salt
1 tablespoon granulated white sugar
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 teaspoons mustard powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons chili or ancho powder
1 teaspoon chipotle or cayenne powder
I'm not sure how I feel about injecting a brisket though. The only thing I like to inject my brisket with is beef broth. That way you preserve the good smoke/brisket taste that you worked so hard to get.
