It would be easier to start from scratch. If you can find the candles and wreath alone, it is a fairly easy project.

I actually tried to do something with it yesterday. I had hoped I could just play with the curves a little bit and achieve blackening up the red with out loosing the green, but GIMP would not recognize the color and flashed some gibberish about RBG's. You can't use the select tool because the red is actually many different shades. Tim's idea would be the best way of accomplishing this.

i tried to manipulate it with paint as well, no luck it just looked like crap, i just said frick it and used something else, thanks for the effort guys.
