Trying to convert an image to a coloring book page

I am putting together a coloring book for a friend to give out to kids at their concert. I have found most of the images on the internet that she wants but am having trouble finding a mandolin image. I have used Gimp to convert some of the actual portraits of the band to a "sketch" form. Is there a function in Gimp that you can trace around the image leaving only the drawing so it will appear as a coloring page? Im pretty new to using Gimp and have searched online but couldnt find anything. I may have seen it and it just didnt make sense to me

I forgot to mention that the logo at the top doesnt have to be included. I know it is an intricate design and would add to the difficulty.

I don't know how exact you need the file to be, but you could take the image into a newer version of Adobe Illustrator if you have it and use the live-trace to create a line art image of the mandolin. You'd have to go through the live-trace options and try a few things to make sure the image turns out to be what you're looking for.
That's just an option for you to look at, you might just want to do a search for "mandolin line art" and you might come up with a good image that you could buy or might even be free to use.

Thanks RolltidePA. I will look into the Illustrator Program. I was hoping it could be done with a free and simple program. This is an example of the guitar image I found. It doesnt have to be too detailed. Just as long as it looks like a mnadolin
