Trouble uploading gif to photobucket from computer

So I just edited/added on to a gif for the first time using GIMP and when I tried to upload it to photobucket, it would just show up as a picture. Any idea what I did wrong?
FWIW, I previewed the gif and it looked and played fine. It just never did it once I uploaded it

Free account or pro?
The filesize of the GIF might be too big for a free account? Not sure what the limits are.

it's a free account. But I was able to upload the orginal gif from my computer fine (and I think the edited one is smaller). It was only after I saved my new version that it wouldn't upload. What's weird is whenever I choose that file from my computer the preview that shows up in the window worked fine. The gif was moving and everything. But after it actually uploaded, it became a picture.

Strange. I'm not familiar enough with GIMP to know if the problem could be with the creation of the file or whatnot. Maybe try a different image host like imgur and see what it does.

I have the same problem on both of my computers with photobucket. Used to work before for gifs. Now its a still picture.
