Was just a quick one. Was hoping this would get more traction b/c the photo is pretty cool. Do you know where the photo came from? I'm in TX.

I friend of mine @ UNT got it from her Texas History professor who got it from a Boston News Paper that was in circulation around the time Texas first applied for annexation and was denied.
The US did not want to upset Mexico so they didn't annex Texas.

Awesome dude, thanks for the info. I'm friends with the Managing Editor for Copano Bay Press and she is a stud with Texas/Mexico history. If you are into it at all, you should read some of their stuff about the Alamo. All original documents, etc and very interesting. Thanks for the response.
