Need help creating a logo

I just recently created a little blog for sports and video gaming and I have no clue how to make a logo (wordmark) for it. I've seen some of the work y'all do here and would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out. It doesn't need to be anything fancy.
The name is: CoBrAs Gaming
I was thinking just a purple background with yellow font. And it would be really cool if you could somehow make the S in CoBrAs look like a snake. Thanks in advance for any of your help!

Here is a quick pass with only a basic background and some fonts. With projects like these, you might want to bait the interested with some possible backgrounds or fonts to get them started.
The Snake we can look at doing once a template has been agreed upon. I'm partial the 5th font down.

Thanks! I really appreciate the help! I really like the 4th one down, is there anyway that blue can be more purple? And it can just be on a plain black background since the font has both purple and yellow in it. Or if you think the puprle in the font would be hidden with a black background then a white would be cool. Thanks again

The purple/blueish in the font might actually be ok when it's not on that back ground. With the purple in the background it contrasts more, but with a plain background i think it will actually look more purple

Sure, but depending on how you're marketing your business/gameroom/website, it would be nice to have a logo in place that looks somewhat gamey if that makes sense

Yea I like the gamey backgrounds. I just didn't want the font to get lost in a background but with a font color adjustment it may stand out more. Also just trying to make your job as easy as possible seeing as you're doing this on your own time for me

Good - find one that you like and I'll put the font on it. Are you 100% sold on that font? It reminds me of the old timey Astroworld shooting gallery font - if you know what that is.

Yes, I actually really like that one with the plain black background! The font reminds me of casino/New Orleans type font. I also think with the plain background, the S being a snake would stand out more

Yea that is cool, only thing is I'll be doing mostly sports video games.

The logo in this link, is on the C but maybe something similar on the S. I don't know how hard that would be to accomplish. Or Maybe just a dot for an eyeball and a little squiggle line coming out of the top of the S for tongue?

that one is cool, I'll use it too! Though I may have to consider a name change to gold brahs
