What program do you use to put the faces on movie clips and turn them into gifs?

I use Photoshop CS3 - but it can only handle very short video clips.

hmmm i've had cs3 all this time and never knew i could do this. I also have CS5 and I am installing Illustrator and Dreamweaver CS5 right now. (benefits of working at a photography studio)

There's a trick to loading videos into CS3. Do File->Import->Video Frames to Layers.
Once the box opens, you have to type in the space for File name this: *.* Then hit Load.
You can then find your video.

The only ones I've directly loaded into CS3 are the .avi files from my Canon S1 IS.
I have converted some other types of video files into gifs, then loaded the gifs into CS3 to work on them. (You have to use the *.* trick to load all the gif frames into CS3).
I use video to gif.

I use GIMP, so with PS you may not have this issue, but when I try and upload a large video file it takes a long time to load. Then if have to find the frames I want to use and delete the rest. I have found it easier if I go to gifsoup.com and load the file (usually one I grab off of youtube). I can pick the frame sequence I like, gut the rest then save a much smaller file. Load into GIMP much quicker then all I have to do start adding heads everywhere. Only issue I have had is gifsoup does not always work. The site seems to have issues 40% of time, but you get what you pay for with a free account.
How about hooking a buddy up with some CS5 & Dreamweaver!!!
