when using motion what is the easiest way to make a layer rotate each frame? you can move a layer easily but its a pain in the arse to do anything else

Duplicate layer and rotate. Duplicate that layer, then rotate, and so on.

Creating an action will speed things up

- New action
- Assign a function key
- Duplicate layer
- Transform Numeric to rotate
- Stop Recording

Then just hit function key how ever many times

I LOVE actions!

Unfortunately they are difficult to use when making (what I thought) was the (highly detailed description) of what was requested.

Rattlehead, when you place a text in one frame and position it to where you want it, how do you get it to stay in place across all frames?

you have to move it in the first frame I believe.

A trick I found that works in my version of IR:

- Place the text in the position you want

- Duplicate that layer to a new layer and delete the old layer. IR saves that position as the default in the new layer.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. You'd think the geniuses at Adobe would find an easier way.

They did. It's called After Effects.
