Hrm... an odd thing happened. When I marquee'd the fleur de lis and dragged it into the helmet image, it turned to black and gold, not the red and black that it is in the ULL logo.

However, when I create a background for a new image and drag it there, it remains red and black. It only changes to black and gold when I drag to the helmet image.

Maybe the pros here can explain what happened. I'm using photoshop 7.0, an old version, copyright 2002.

like this:

to tigerhead: you prob have to change the image mode from indexed to rgb, since they are gifs.

or with a stroke. That brownish green just looks bad on black.

Wow. Learning new things every day from this board. Next question is why would the fleur de lis change from red to gold under "indexed" color?

Damn, I've got a LOT to learn.

I don't know, but I think when a gif is saved, it saves only the colors used in the gif, to reduce file size. So if you move that image without converting to rgb, or cmyk for print, first, a lot is lost and messed up in translation. The colors the gif wants to use aren't there and it shows up all screwed up.

Just always work in rgb for farks
