I'm sure many of y'all have seen it... but the TS Lightning pic. Is there any way that you can tell?

I believe so. I think the sky's hue has been altered slightly. If you look closely the stadium lights on the left are a little too bright- they don't match the darkness of the sky
I don't think it really matters though. It's still an awesome photo.

It is shopped, but it's a good looking
picture regardless.
The "Loops" in the lighting strike near the
top, and the one near the bottom is something
you see in Photoshopped Lightning. There's ways
to remove it if you want to take the time
to do some erasing and C/P, but most of the time
those Loops are left in and ususaly are a hint
that it was created with photo editing software.

You are saying the lightning was shopped? I really don't think there was a need to do that with all the lightning on that night. I understand the purple sky though.

the lightning is real. There were other pictures posted of it during the storm. But the others didn't have a purple sky, which HAD to have been added. I don't think any sky would ever be purple when lit up by lightning.

The picture is real! The sky color was changed but everything is as is. A little bit of sharpening and minor adjustments but the picture is very real. It was a longer exposure to get the lighting right.

If the lightning strike is real, that is pretty
cool ! . . .I knew the color of the sky was
altered, but I thought the question was about the
lightning bolt. . . Unususal to see those kinds of
Loops (especially the obvious one at the bottom)
like that on real lightning strikes. There's a
way to create real looking Lightning bolts with
photoshop that you can add into pictures like
this, but the majority of times when you create
shopped lightning bolts, you get these loops in
the bolt that look exactly like the one at the
bottom here ! . . .If this is a real lightning
strike, that means I've done some detailed
erasing and altering of Photoshoped lightning
that wasn't necessary !!
That is a nice looking picture
